I have several boxes of Alcan 10gauge brass shells that call for this primer. Is there a substitute primer?
thanx

This is probably a size 57 primer, mostly an obsolete Remington product in today's world. There are thousands of them in the possession of reloaders who had them when the 209 primers became standard about fifty years ago. You are lucky to have those Alcan shells. You can probably sell them if you don't want to hunt down the primers. Let me know if you want to sell the shells.

Hello pod
I have a large number of Alcan 10 gauge hulls that I use for my two 10 gauge guns.

AND I have a stash of *57 primers

Thank you for your service to our Nation.

Wow, VINTAGE stuff
Earliest that I was associated was
the F-100 aircraft
the major purpose was to convert jet fuel to noise smile

Long ago and far away. I should thank you as well for your service. The L-20 was the most fun. pontoons and wheels in the summer universal skis in the winter. B-29s where tough with the R-3350 engines. Sad that all the crews are gone.
Have a great day.Bob
