Hello, and thanks in advance for any info. I recently acquired a black powder, external hammer, double barrel shot gun, with the name Charles Derrin engraved on the left side plate. Does anyone know anything about history or rarity of this gun, or where I could find information about it. Any info would be greatly appreciated !!!

Now -- you need to give much much more information about what you have here if you want to get a meaningful response.
Also, you need to get some photos of the gun/rifle up here for us to see and evaluate.
The more detail the better, especially photos of the proof marks and other stamping/engraving on the metal.
