I have studied the Husqvarna serial number chart available online and have narrowed the year of manufacture down to either 1918 or 1919. The gun is a 16 ga 310AS and the serial number is 111xxx. Are the serial numbers listed on the Husqvarna table the first gun or last gun produced in that year?

If we are looking at the same table, I believe they are the last number produced. I think that because the table starts with an irregular number, 16928. Would seem odd if they started with that number. However, after just three years they are in round numbers (35000) so very hard to know for sure. Also note they are going up by very round numbers....5,000 or 10,000.

So I think the chart is an estimate at best and not to be relied on for exactitude.

THANKS for the info. It turns out that my Husqvarna 12 Gauge SxS was made in 1954.
