Thanks. I got that, but the stock would not pull off. The trigger guard tang for the pistol grip does not have a screw that was visable and I was afraid that there was a hidden fastener and I would break something. In the end, just a very tight fit. Pulled straight back and off came the stock. The rear tang for the trigger guard fits into the stock and stays there due to its curvature and nothing else.

BTW,
The TG is held on with a pin welded to it in a diagonal angle aft into the stock. The front of the TG is threaded as normal. So, as you loosen the drawbolt and the stock slides off, the TG pin will disengage the stock.

Chuck, not on this one. After the stock is pulled off, there is a rear cross pin that when drifted to the side allows the rear of the guard to be pulled down. The guard is then turned 90 degrees and lifts off.

Sorry Bill,
Bad memory or my erroneous assumption on how the TG attaches to the frame. The one that Tony showed us had the long tang already on the frame and he showed us how it fit the stock with the pin that goes into the stock to retain it 'screwlessly'. you can see the pin in the pics above

Chuck, well, after several years I got to see the RBL(inside). Not bad;not exceptional. A Birmingham basic with a Citori/ Model 21 type of trigger.Well made and worth the basic price.I am going to say that if you can buy it in your price range,it is a good deal.

Bill,
I agree, they're pretty nicely machined inside. Very much about like the quality of my Beretta and much nicer than the current Browning insides.

One goal that Tony pointed out about the RBL was that they were machining the reciever and barrels to fit. I'd be interested in your assessment of whether they met their goal of that fit (whether the barrel breachface appears to have been hand fit or machined).
