Discharging a firearm in any City Arizona will get you arrested. And this includes the up-scale town of Paradise Valley where the mean housing price exceeds $3,000,000. Most residents here in the suburbs think coyotes are cute until the start grabbing their house pets as occurred in a gated community here awhile back.
If you think dealing with coyotes is tough try coping with pigeons. They're also protected from shooting although I think a lot of them are dispatched here with pellet guns. IMO pigeons pose a much greater risk as a health problem and the term "Flying Rats" has always struck me as appropriate.
