They run the range of good to great. I owned a 16ga sidelock ejector that was sweet. I've also owned a 12ga boxlock that was bottom grade but a good gun.

Thanks Mike - I appreciate the info, just was wondering if you remember who the maker was and the weight? I'm looking at a D&K import. Trying to get as much info as I can.
Thanks again!!!

Greg, they are (or were) a Brit importer of Spanish guns. I owned one that was a "Reno" model. Pretty nice sidelock. I believe they imported guns from different makers, but I don't think any of them were from the makers that survived the DIARM fiasco. Could be wrong on that. Seems that Thad Scott often has some D&K guns.

Greg: I bought a 16 bore D&K Sidelock Ejector "Silverpoint" at the Southern. It was buit by Diego Goodayle. It is a very smooth handling gun.
Best Regards, George

Greg, I just checked my records. That D&K gun I bought was an Uriguen. Might be something on the maker in Wieland's book, which I don't have.

Hi COL, the maker of the gun in question is Diego Goodayle. I can't find any mention of this maker in any of my reference materials to include Wieland's book. I know that D&K imported guns in the "rough" from Spain then finished them in England. I also understand that some of the guns were not so hot, but some were excellent. Typical "Judge the gun". Perhaps someone has more info on this maker. And, yes I'm interested in this gun, so now it's out in the open. In fact here is the kink to the gun: http://www.gunsamerica.com/904918225/Gun...PORTING_GUN.htmAny comments on this gun would also be appreciated. So George, chime in on what you know about your gun. All the best!! Greg

In 1982 Denton and Kennel were located at; West Street, Somerton, Somerset, U.K. Their 1982 catalogue states that their guns were made by Gorosable, Spain. They also sold a range of guns by Union Armera. The Gorosable products carried the Denton and Kennel name. The Union Armera Guns carried the makers name. Denton and Kennel, Side locks were available in four grades, priced in the range of 342-980 pounds Stirling. By comparison the Union Armera best sidelock gun sold for 1500 pounds Stirling. I purchased a 20 G box lock from D&K IN 1982, the gun was not to my liking because it was built on a modified 12 G. action. For this reason I did not keep the gun.
