Took delivery thurs. of excellent condition "twin-single" pre-war Superposed. Originally choked full/full, currently opened to .012/.025. Has considerable cast which I like and my LOP. I've been trying to find (internet/Schwing) something on proofing of the 30s guns. I don't need a hunting load at the moment but I want to know if I need to load down pressurewise for a couple boxes of skeet loads. I've got a couple of cases of reloads w/ Nitro 100, running 1200fps. rated 1020psi. Can these guns handle that safely? If not, the only other powder I have right now for low pressure is IMR 7625 for 16 ga. Should I step back a grain or two to 1150fps w/ the Nitro 100 and get a pressure under 9000psi, load the 7625 for very low pressures in 12 ga., or should I shoot the stuff I've got loaded?
