Grafs and sons has 24 gauge reloading components. If you load nitro I don't know how you would get your loads pressure tested and I don't know what pressure the gun was "designed" to shoot. If you pop on over to Geoffroy's website, you will see he has photos of a 24 gauge R10 Darne that was produced with 70mm chambers.
I've seen 70mm marked 24 gauge ammunintion in Europe-all I can tell you, is it wasn't Winchester or Remington. I also have some Spanish ammunition that is marked 70mm, but measures 67mm after being fired, and more like 65mm as loaded.
I have found 20 gauge to be the hardest to get really good patterns out of, and can't imagine 24 gauge is much of an improvement.

I think the 24 gauge that ellenbr is thinking of is an H&R. I saw one years ago, but it wasn't a true shotgun. It was some kind of an animal dart gun if memory serves. They had one at an auction I went to, it was a smoothbore but had sights on it.
I have an American made 24 gauge shell in my collection, it's a Winchester if memory serves. I believe it's the only one I ever had a chance to buy.

I hunt woodcock, early grouse and rabbits with a 24 ga. Belgian Guild SxS, and love it. I use Fiochi shells which are loaded with 11/12s of an oz. of shot. I have 5s, 6s, and 8s. I have gotten shells from Graf and Ballistic Products, will get some brass cases and start loading them.

Rocky Mountain Cartridge http://www.rockymountaincartridge.com/page7.html lists brass hulls in 24 gauge. I do not see what type of primer they use. Contact info is on http://www.rockymountaincartridge.com/ . Chamber inserts like Gauge Mate to let 28 gauge or .410 be fired could be made, if the chamber length is not a problem, or if 2.5" shells are available in those gauges. 24 and 28 gauge differ by about 0.030". If the chambers differ by about the same, that would make for a thin insert. A .410/24 insert would be thick enough to allow it to be made to extend into the 24 gauge bore. Then longer shells could be used w/o sticking in the insert.
