Your ideal chokes will depend on your shooting situation, or situations.
For ducks decoying over decoys open chokes would be best. Skeet (.005") works very good with modern steel loads. A gun choked Skeet 1 and Skeet 2 (LM / .015") would be a good all around combination. If all your shooting is close then chokes of .005/.010 would work. It's hard to comprehend how tight steel will group from a skeet choke until you shoot that 30" circle at 40 yards!
For "pass" shooting or ducks that present shooting at 35 yards or more chokes up to Mod (.020") might be best. Any more choke on steel will blow your pattern.
If your shooting distances varies then Skeet 1 & 2 might be best for you. With those chokes your Simson could also serve as a fine upland gun.
