Yes, working with the junk has no doubt created an expectation of differential in performance. I'll probably pattern the remainder thru a skeet choke next week. I still think that the deformation of soft shot on first firing is interesting for what it says about our expectations of what we don't see (that cheap chilled shot should be good enuf for most target purposes). Really, all the questions and variables are tied to what I gathered up on a local trap range. If there were less parsimonious reloaders and more participants shooting factory boxed ammo (which, we are told, has a high antimony content), I'd be getting higher percentage of undeformed. Still, it SHOULD be good enuf, even optimum, for skeet but I don't think it is.
