Brian, if past experience is any guide to the present, Walt will probably ask you for the serial and let you know what he's got on it. I provided the serial for an NID Field 12/28 and Walt kindly responded that it shipped to H&D Folsom Sept. 37. I can't remember receiving that type of info re: my 1918 Flues 4e but Walt was very helpful (as was his book) in ascertaining the factory originality of the "lightwgt" swamped or "ramped" rib barrels. I was led astray by Brit reproof on the barrelset and Walt put me back on the path. If there was the slightest hint that an emolument was commanded or even just welcomed in return for the information, I sure don't remember it.
