I am thinking of getting one and would like to know if anyone has used it:
Pad Pal

Thank you for your feedback.

No JC, but to me the main advantage is not having to remove the screws to check fit. I use another brand and think I would prefer the pad pal to what I have. Looks like less labor.

That is Gunsmither from our board. Nice guy. I met him about three years ago.

I just got one in the mail. It looks very well made. I have had the more common one you see around for several years and this one looks better. I haven't gotten a chance to use it yet work gets in the way of fun. Very quick service, I contacted Gunsmith directly.

I think that is the one the maker posted about on this forum. When I suggested he was trying to get free advertising he got quite indignant about that. I think Dave removed the thread.
I have not used his jig but the idea looks pretty good. I've been using the B-Square type, sold by Brownells for many years and dozens of pad jobs. The B-square type looks more solid, to me.
Frank, please give us a report on yours after you've had a chance to use it on several jobs.

For my money, the B&R jig as sold by Brownells is superior to any other on the market. I made a clone of it many years ago and have used it for butt plates as well as pads ever since with
pleasure. It does not require adjustment for the different heel and toe angles. They are automatically set when the jig is adjusted to the stock.

OB is dead right ! The one shown in Brownells cat. has my stock attached to it --- I knew the developer 40 years back. I used the same fixture for about 30 years and finally gave it to another guy who is still using it. I have never used a better & faster pad grinding fixture. Ken
