Why break the line of ownership?
Family guns are one of our last true treasures to be passed on!
These guys are lickin' their chops and are tight with the bucks.
Keep it - whats a few thousand dollars in today's world?

Keep it - whats a few thousand dollars in today's world? Actually there would be no one to pass it down to from me. My wife and I have no children. And none of my has any interest in weapons.

Ithaca's Flues!!! I'm of the opinion that of all the American doubles I still think they have the most impressive engraving and checkering.

D. Mc., just for comparison so you'll know how sharp yours is: 4e circa 1917 with a more bravura engraving pattern and avian futbol replacing dog. Less rouge in her cheeks also.  jack

Thanks Jack. The flues engraving was very nicely done. I do have another ithaca but it is nowhere as as this one. It is a damascus gun.

DMac, I agree that is a very beautiful Ithaca. I would hang on to it if I were you. But if you do decide to sell, I would have some interest in this gun as well.
