You said "they were not filling an empty spot" so from this I take that the choice can be impractical. (they are also 5 figure guns) I was going to suggest the 21 if you shot alot of sporting clays, but you said the gun would not be filling a void. I picked the FOX because I think it is a better looking gun and has durabilty simular to the 21, but should have greater value in the future and except for waterfowl, do all the 21 can. Its not totally impractical to shoot waterfowl with a 20 or 16. So unless for some reason you need another 12ga- I'd choose the fox. Even though, I as a rule, I prefer 12ga. But I'm not you either.
