Nothing wrong with admiring Tony both as a businessman (know anyone else in the business who could sell guns by asking for full payment, up front, quite some time in advance of delivery??) and a maker of doubleguns. However, I seriously doubt that he's spending more than he's making--or more than he will be making in the relatively near future. You simply don't stay in business doing that for very long if you're a privately owned company.

I think Jack has a grasp of the concept of "Put your money on the table." Thanks, Jack.

He did not make you pay in Full. I did not pay in full. I am paid in full now. All he required was a down payment which every other custom gun maker is doing. I am sure that Mr. Galazan is making a profit how much I have no clue and honestly its not my business. Thats right no business owner wants to lose money. He has a multi-sided company as he sells used guns, manufactures guns, and I beleieve he still owns a lot of real estate in CT. He is a smart man and has done well. I just don't understand all the bashing. Is it really needed? Are we a bunch of nagging bitches in heat here or what? Well we all have choices in life. The choice is yours to buy his product or not. The choice was yours to pay in full or not to. I can not believe how much grown men choose to sit and bitch and wine about a guy thats trying to prodive a top notch service to Double gun lovers.

Some are totally taken in by the original Parker cult...surprised they don't have a compound in Texas somewhere!

I don't see the whining and bashing here, Marine. There's an exchange of opinions. the purpose of the board. There's bound to be a wide range of opinion on a bulletin board covering the world. Threads go in the ditch when we impute motives to others which may or may not exist. Healthy exchanges are a good thing.
Lowell, now, he's a tease and no bad bones in him. For many of us, he's our morning smile. I think he's right about the Parker clan and we could probably say the same about any other group of collectors.

King, the strange ambivalence of the PIFs and DOs is over on the RBL28 thread.

Say sumpthin nice about anything? OK....original Parkers are nice guns. That wasn't so hard.
Any gun made after...let's say 1945...that resembles a Parker is a reproduction thereof. It might be a nice gun, too, but it's not the real deal. Even if it costs $49K.
I have a hard time believing grown men can convince themselves a 'Parker Bros O/U' is anything but a rip-off, or that a 'Parker' made in 2008 is anything but a reproduction.
I've offered this before and I'll offer it again - anyone who wants to trade me an original Chippendale chair for a better built modern version has a deal on their hands.

Oh I agree with the Over and Under. However I think the Parkers that CSMC are making are very fine guns. Not that I can afford to own one or justify buying one. But to each their own. I like chocolate you may like strawberry. Difference is what makes the world go round. I have a 391 I will trade for either a Original Parker or a CSMC Parker..............................
