Can anyone give me info on the number of shotguns they made in the 7 or so years they were in operation? I am intrested in knowing how many of each gauge were made. I have never seen anything but 20 and 28 gauge for sale. I believe Steve offered them in .410 and 16 gauge too????? I also heard that before he closed the doors he was offering a 12 gauge also. I own two 4E's and I really like them. I am intrested in getting one in every gauge made. I think its a shame that he had to close the doors. I geuss Mr. Galazan is the only guy to be able to keep the old American doubles alive. He seems to be doing well and his own line as well. I ordered a RBL28 and can't wait to get that. Anyways any info would be greatly appreciated. Maybe one of the big name shotgun writers should write a book or atleast an artical on the short lived return of an old classic. I would be much intrested in reading that. Maybe Mr. Galazan can buy the rights to Ithica and Lafever and make a return of two more greats. Just my thoughts.

They made at least one 12br (it's proly made in Italy). It's listed at Cabela's in Hamburg, PA as 'Competition Special'. I still remember seeing base price in SSM as being about $3400? At 10k the price for that Kolhoznik is horrendous. Good luck with your collecting endeavor.

Jager, the Hamburg ICD to which you refer is a 3" 20ga.

The ICD Competition model is not a 12 gauge, it is a 30" 20 gauge. It is a one of a kind hand built gun that Steve Lamboy built as a prototype of a heavy dedicated "shoot for money" type gun. It is some gun, but, as you suggest, it is a bit overpriced. Steve built one prototype 10 gauge, but I don't know what the story is on the 12 gauge. I'm not sure one was ever built from scratch. The 10 was not built from scratch but I would still like to own it. Cabela's lists the gun as 6 pounds. I have handled the gun, both several years ago when I foolishly did not buy it, and at Cabela's last month. It is no six pound gun if I remember correctly.

Oops, seeing word 'Competition' I automatically assumed it was a 12. This has happened before when I found 20ga Winchester 'Light Duck' for very reasonable $1300. Gee, I thought: who it going to want 20ga duck gun? Apparently many folks do.

ICD made 16, 20, 28 and 410 guns. Total production around 400. Unfortunately the records went with the bankruptcy sale and are now in Texas. If these can be obtained, you could piece together an article with a breakdown of Grades, gauges etc. No 12 ga. guns were ever made. He did build a 12ga. 32 inch 4-E Target gun using an original 4-E with a matted rib. This gun was given to Andy Duffy and he won the Vintage cup on 1 or 2 occasions with this gun. I know this for a fact because I supplied this gun to Steve to use for the project. The gun at Cabela's was also owned by me and I had bought it at an auction a while back. It was the only 20ga. of it's kind and it had competiton in gold on the bottom of the action. If I recall the Cabela's ad, they list it as unfired!! Hardly--I shot the gun for a while! No 10's were ever made, as far as I know. He did have a prototype action. Several single barrel traps were built using old Ithaca parts sets.

According to Steve, the ten gauge, which looked ready for action when I saw it, used an action he put together, mated to original Ithaca barrels. Of course, the whole gun could have been original Ithaca. I have to go on what I was told by SL. I don't think it was a magnum gun, rather a Super Ten.

Shouldn't be any problems or cost involved... if Tony chooses to produce any Ithicas or Lafevers.

True, but if he wants to produce an Ithaca or a Lefever, he will a license from the Ithaca Gun Co.

Thank you everyone for the input. Bill Davis thank you very much for your info. The 20 gauge Comp. I was looking at buying is the one at Cabela's. Indeed they do have it listed as unfire New in Case. I was aware of the 12 gauge That Andy has. But as you stated this gun was an original model redone, and not a New Classic Ithica Doubles. As for Mr. Galazan building Ithica's or Lafever's I was under the assumption that SL still owned the rights to both. Is this not the case? What would it take to get the stuff out of the Bankrupcy??????????? I am assuming a lot of money. Again thanks everyone for the info its much appreciated.
