I shoot more wild pheasants than most folks, and I do it with a pair of guns choked 5/15 and 5/25. 12's, usually 1 1/16 oz Brit 6's in the R, 1 1/8 oz American 6's in the L. I only ended up using the tighter of the two more than I usually do last season because the #1 gun needed some work. (Nice to have "twins" in such a circumstance.) Over pointing dogs, in good pheasant country, the R barrel will handle 80-90% of the shots I take. If one jumps and I can't get on it before 35 yards or so, I'll go to the back trigger. Can't recall the last time I felt underchoked with that setup. But I'd hastily add that I feel neither the desire nor the need to take shots at roosters much over 40 yards, unless they've already been hit but kept flying.
I would not want cyl/cyl, and although I'd rather have two different chokes since I have two barrels (and two triggers), I don't think Jim's 10/10 would be a bad choice for most hunting applications.
