31.5 inches would give about 80 cm tube length. From the 1st pic, it looks like just behind the platinum or silver band is where the breech plug meets the tubes. There were several Heyms at the beginning of the 20th century and since your gun is from the percussion era, I would guess that it was made by Stephan Heym & Son of Suhl in Thuringen who began around the middle of the 19th Century or Friedrich Wilhelm Heym who founded a company in Suhl in the mid-1860s but some sources give the Heym gunmaking beginning just before the 19th Century. Let me look a little for additional info. The stock has an Austrian or Germanic style cheek-piece. And the "pigs-tail" you mention looks to be a wad puller.
