So it is indeed possible for a Parker Repro to have soul! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Therefore, one may conclude then that the Parker Reproduction DHE's are better than the originals---better steel, better wood, more modern and shootable dimensions, more versatile with various load selection, etc. etc. Perhaps the only shortcoming of them compared to the original Parker Bros. DH gun is the engraving, the birds and dogs were machine engraved with the scrollwork being hand engraved, whereas, the Parker Bros. DH's were totally hand engraved. In the argument of price vs. value, the Repro can usually be had at a better price and has more value for its intended purpose---to shoot.

It's unfortunate the Parker Reproduction had to be tagged with that name because of Remington's licensing of the Parker name, hadn't it been for this legal issue you can be sure that Tom Skeuse would have simply called it a Parker, as that's what it is---only new and improved---but you'll never get a died-in-the-wool Parker Bros. collector to admit it. Hell, you can't even get them to chime in on a thread discussing Parker Repros.
