I have had four surgeries on my right shoulder. I went from a strapping kid throwing a baseball in the upper 80's to one who could not throw one in the low 40's in one injury. Back in the dark ages a rotator cuff injuries were the end of your life as a pitcher. I declined major surgery back then and opted for just a very minimum cleanup of tissue. Best move I made as a young man.

Two minor cleanup later I had to have a complete re-manufacture of the rotator cuff area. Went to the best and had first class service because of then family connections. Ex-brother in law is a orthopedic Sx. and sent me to who he said was the best. My doctor did most of the major league players shoulders and elbows. Well for all I know his secretary did the work because I was out like a dead light bulb.

PT is the real bitch. It hurts, it is without doubt the only way you will ever get back to normal. DO the PT. Take time to heal and only have to do this once. Six months for almost full range of motion, another year for almost all my muscle strength to return to normal. Not back all the way still but I can throw a baseball in the 70's. Well maybe high 60's with a good radar gun. At least I am throwing and not screaming anymore. I hope you know how much that turkey can set you back if you are not careful.
