Bob, I'd certainly rather see one of your articles on obscure U.S. makers then another of the interminable articles on British Gun Auctions!! If it wasn't for you and Austin Hogan there wouldn't have been anything in this issue of interest to me.

I've only handled one other Parry then the one I own, and it was a well worn coach gun with Wells Fargo markings and the dealer had it tagged as a Parker?!? I've seen quite a few more of these Parry-designed hammer doubles with Wilkes-Barre markings. All with serial numbers from the low 1000s to the low 1300s. Is there any feeling as to whether the Quality No. 1s and the Quality No. 2s were serial numbered together or in separate series? Did they restart at Wilkes-Barre with 1000 for the hammer guns or have I just not seen lowere numbered ones?
