spitting image of a BSS - with better wood.

My BSS 12 Sporter has very plain wood, with not quite enough finish on it (Sporters were oil finish from the factory, PG were some sort of gloss, probably poly). My BSS 20 Sporter came to me with refinished wood (Watco Danish Oil, I am told), and it looks an order of magnitude better than the 12. Some day I will refinish the wood on the 12, even if it doesn't need it.

Yep double triggers, sling swivels, and scalloped receiver - marked gebr.glunz,HH - long with the Miroku markings.

I've never seen a BSS with a scalloped receiver. SKB's were scalloped.

Larry, yes the SKB action is scalloped different but I would call J.B.`s action as having one large scallop and the BSS not straight like the older Miroku. I don`t know what else to call it maybe angled or cut out.

I don`t know if a double trigger conversion can be done to a BSS but I did see a BSS style action with double triggers even the same BSS engraving but was only marked Miroku.

Seems there are alot of variations we don`t see much of.

Notched maybe? Don't know that there's a generic term for those non-straight, non-scalloped BL's.

A DT conversion can be done to a BSS. I saw one so converted. Probably should've bought it.

with just the Miroku name, double triggers and sling swivel, it would be a good bet that it was made and sold in the European market for the continental gunner.
