Most guns that fit me, and That I shoot well fit most other people well also. There are however subtle differences that seem to make some guns just feel and handle a bit better. I have over 80,000 rounds through my old Greener pigeon gun, and I thought it was as good a gun as I could find for sporting clays. Then I picked up the Purdey that I shoot now. From the first instant, I knew it was "right". Before I parted with what was for me an astronomical price, I asked if I could shoot it. Well, I won the Vintagers pre-lim only missing 3 birds. It was not "new gun syndrome" either; I continue to shoot it better than any other gun that I own. I even beat George Digweed at a "make or break" last Summer. [He may have let me win, gentleman that he is, as he missed his last target, a fairly easy rabbit].
Anyway, The Greener still feels good, but just does not have "it". It would be interesting to "swing" both of these guns and compare numbers.
