Just a note to say I'll be out of action from 29th March to 18th April.
The Africa trip has come around already and we are off to the Okavango Delta. Michael has his 1926 Manton & Co .470 NE, built for an Indian prince and pretty much mint. I have my trusty 1870s J. Thompson 12-bore hammer gun for the birds and we have some kind of old drilling to shoot plains game (red lechwe and piggies) with.
Michael is hunting the elephant - my job is to shoot for the pot while we are in the bush trying to find it; and take lots of pictures. Just had to change the PH - something got the other one and he is in hospital for a while.
So, sorry for the loss of service but will be back in business April 21st (wildlife allowing).
