I've been away from internet for a while so just picking up on this thread. I'm curious as to the beveled filing at the ends of the top and bottom ribs shown in Mike's and Brian's photos. I have a Sterlingworth that has more than likely has 1/4" cut off of its former 28" bbls that has the same 'beveling' filed from the tips of the ribs. I had not seen this on a Fox before although. I have a L.C. Smith 3e that has these same notches at the end of its uncut barrels/ribs. Was this done at the factory?

Best,
jmc

Hope this helps.

Jimmy your off your meds again. Chuck has invited you Chukar hunting this fall and for a sleepover on his silk sheets.

Best,

Mike
