I am just starting to build a modest collection of work horse guns - Citoris, Winchester 101s, etc, so I don't have the perspective of the more experienced on this forum. However, I would say that you can only shoot one gun at a time, so I would rather have one "great" gun than a bunch of "just good" guns.

(of course, this assumes that the one great gun fits you and is appropriate for your shooting activities, etc.)
