Mike, of course they were cut....when they were made. And since I'm the one always taking your photograph--at your request--while you hold the birds I've shot--I'll pass on the pic. Now, if you'd offer it blown up to say pattern board size I might accept....

I don't think he meant if they're cut from 32 incehs but if they were cut back from 30 inches. May be trimmed would be a better wor=d. Like if they were trimmed back because of getting them nicked up in a fall on rock.

Hmmm, would a letter get down to the 32nd of an inch? (29-29/32")

Seems like a beveled edge could be replicated (if a bevel was originally on the barrels) by anyone equipped with a file and skilled enough to shorten barrels.

I was hoping the prize was a no expense paid quail hunting trip with the world famous celebrity AM himself.

The key on the 1918XE seems to be on the bottom.

Not cut. I've seen Fox bbls like that before on guns that had the original hang tag on them.

Mr. Hallquist,

Please tell us some more about guys tweaking the ends of their bbls. I've come across a handful of Lefevers with bbls that appear by have been snipped 1/2" - 3/4". This always seemed odd to me. What you're saying may be the explanation.
