I did misread this post and thought that you said it was a Custom Grade. So, I apologize for that. During the time that your gun was made, Nick and John Kusmit would have been the only (in house) engravers. The engraving on your gun doesn't look like their work to me. The engraving under the receiver by the pheasants doesn't look like any (standard)Winchester engraving I have ever seen. The deep (oak)scroll-work on the receiver doesn't look like something they would have done. I would like to hear Ken Hurst's opinion.
