Hey guys... I hope I am not boring you with all of these damascus pics. I just finished a set of barrels that have some great pattern in them. I hope you enjoy... Craig These are from a P. Webley & Son hammergun.

Wonderful Laminated Steel barrels! Because of the higher steel content, it can be tough to get such nice black & white contrast. Do you have a rough date of manfacture for the PictureTrail album caption?

Thanks for the pictures Mr. Craig. This is just great, I love seeing your efforts and greatly admire the results of your labors. Have sent off a specialty grade LC bbl to Mike Orlan for back boring & deepening chambers. When I get them back, I'll send them to you for this magic treatment. Ken

Craig, Looks like you're the pro. Any tips you can pass along from all your experience?
BTW, Thats the prettiest pattern I've seen on barrels.

CWFs, Are you doing work for other people now or just doing your own stuff? Your work looks fantastic!

Thank you all...
Chuck, they are pretty barrels. I was going for a plum brown to duplicate the original finishes that I have seen on a number of English guns. I think I got pretty close.
This gun belongs to a friend. He had it re-browned a year or so ago and wasn't real pleased with the job. We had no idea of the actual figure in the barrels. It wasn't till I did the last few brown cardings and final etch that the pattern really popped.
LeFusil, if you would like something done, you can contact me through my website, listed in my profile.
Thanks again... Craig

Beautiful Craig!, Did you use a Gaddy formula or something different for the solution.? You got a unique mix of colors on the barrel and I am jealous? I am about ready to do a laminated and if you have an added chemical let me know if you dont mind.

Craig........love those barrels! I've been layed up all week(had both knees scoped)havn't been in the shop any! I'm sure most of us that are refinishing composite barrels are similar in the processes. But I'd like to compare my notes to yours if you don't mind? Who knows possibly we could learn something from each others process.
