Chuck, they are pretty barrels. I was going for a plum brown to duplicate the original finishes that I have seen on a number of English guns. I think I got pretty close.
This gun belongs to a friend. He had it re-browned a year or so ago and wasn't real pleased with the job. We had no idea of the actual figure in the barrels.
It wasn't till I did the last few brown cardings and final etch that the pattern really popped.
