I was trying to help a chap, and said just to use black electrical tape - it'd match pretty well.
Perhaps grillz would do the trick too eh j0e?

A question Barry, if doing two sides of a ring wouldn't you need a reverse image for the other side? Would the patterns have to initially be drawn separately?

Rob, Barry and I use the same method of doing transfers. He probably does the same thing I do --- after making a pull, place a piece of tape over the ink side of the pull and you have a reversal once you remove it. Ken

I say it's easy to do what you just showed us because I had trouble following Mr. Meek's instructions. I have trouble with English in general, but your pictures speak a clearer language. And to complete the compliments, your cutting is so clear that looks as if it's very easy to do. Same with Mr. Hurst's cutting on his barrels. I am sure it is only an impression.

Easy. The work of the truly gifted always looks easy. It is part of the gift. What one doesn't see is the hours and years spent working to develop the gift to the level that these two gentlemen have obtained.

Glenn, those crayons can get real slippery if you hold them too tight. They seem to melt in your hands. If you get to the point that you can draw good stick men then the flying turnips are not too hard to master next.

Actually, Mr. Hurst is a chisel and hammer sort of guy. He don't hold with them fancy new automatical contraptions. But who knows? He may come around, but it will take a while. It took us years to get him to put aside his favorite rock and use a chasing hammer...
