We have a winner!

I have to apologize for inferring that the piece had an relevance, it does not. This piece of 4140 was case colored and then bent after the process in an attempt to show that proper case colered 4140 is not brittle. I have NO stand in this position at all this is just a demo.

This piece of steel shows no cracking at the bend that I can see. I did learn just enough about the process and the temperatures involved to be dangerous so I promply forgot everything I was told. I'm a wood guy and all this tech stuff just confuses me.
