We now move into the "guesswork" area. Since PeteM mentioned that the star-over-V inspector worked between 1929 and 1953 and Dixon states that the probable cartridge was discontinued in 1933, my _guess_ is that the rifle was made about 1930.

Dixon mentions that the 10,75x65R Grundig was shown in the 1911 Alfa catalog and that it was introduced in 1908. The picture he includes clearly shows a jacketed bullet that would probably be in the 350-380 grain range, so I would _guess_ that this was always a smokeless powder round.

Unfortunately I have not been able to discover original ballistics, nor a source for loading data.
