we do certianly have different views of gun control and not to take the thread in one way direction but I bet one of those kids teachers at Columbine or VT would have been safer with a 45 then waiting for his bullet instead of help that never came in time.My condition one carry is very safe requiring three things (thumb safty,grip safty,and trigger pull)before discharge.

The insert idea has lots of merit and I doubt firing a 22 in that barrel will have any affect and certianly less than giving up such a nice combo or filling it with lead.
