In my experience, gun manufacturers in those times dealt quite regularly with individual customers as well as hardware stores who only sporadically placed an order. They did what they had to do to sell a gun. Murphy
Been trying to remember, but cant recall a Sinclair family running a store in Frenchtown, so my guess is a private individual. Next time I'm back home, I'll check to see what the local paper has for information. Gets me curious about what kind of trap shooting may have been going on in farm country.
