Except for occasional black powder shells I don't reload, but I did take a box of 16 gauge shells and I emptied the shot out of them and replaced it with bismuth shot. I used an old Lee Loader I bought on eBay to recrimp the shells and it worked fine. I also did the same thing with a box of Winchester Low recoil/low noise shells and a 12 gauge Lee Loader exchanging the #8 shot for #6 shot.
