I was wondering how many would be tempted to do the following: You buy an extra set of barrels and forend for a gun and send them back to the factory to have them fitted to the gun. Now you have an extra set of barrels for your gun. What if you decide to have the serial numbers removed and changed to the gun so all the numbers matched. Would it be dishonest to do this if the factory matched everything? I remember when I bought my Beretta single barrel trap gun. I went to Beretta and had them take a set of new O/U barrels and fit them to my gun. This was a package deal when I bought the gun. They also had the serial numbers match, too. So would it be dishonest to do it with a set of used barrels to increase the value of the gun? Any opinions?
