This may seem like a silly question, but I respect the knowledge here from so many members and I feel confident someone has thought about this in the past too. Up until now, my high condition collector guns have not traveled much.

I am getting ready to participate in several displays around the country along with some other members. My question is, what is the best way to transport high condition guns. My main concern is wear on the Case color. I know this doesnt sound like much, but abrasion is the number 1 killer to case color and I want to limit that as much as possible to insure that these guns remain in their current state of high condition.

Soft gun sleeves, break down luggage cases like Jeff's Outfitters' carry??? What do you guys prefer? I want something very soft on the inside but yet durable and sturdy on the exterior. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Any soft gun sleeves should be okay. For me, it depends on how many guns I am taking into the show. It is easier if I am taking more than two or three guns to use cases with handles on them. But for one or two long arms, I just put them in a soft case in the car and when I get to the show, I take them out of the case and carry them inside- out in the open so people can see what I am bringing into the show. Good luck.

Jason I have tables at most of the gunshows up here. I use a soft sleeve, (Sackups), and put each in a cheap hard case. I haven't had any damage yet.
