Gentlemen - I don't know if my friend Bill posted these here, but he forwarded this link to me and I thought to share it as these are the most amazing pictures of pheasants in flight that I have found (and during the course of looking for artwork for engraving I looked at a LOT of game bird pictures). I hope you enjoy them as I did. http://refugeforums.com/refuge/showthread.php?t=601093
Cheers

Incredible shots and incredible talent to take such amazing pictures. Thanks for sharing. You can see the shot all around some of the birds.
So many guns, so little time!

Great photos - There are some really interesting ones mid-way down that show the shot swarm.

I'm engraving a SuperX for Baron now. The ejector side has four gold wood ducks coming into a cyprus swamp with plenty of cyprus knees and spanish moss. The left hand side will have a dog pointing and one honoring in gold and some of the birds pictured also inlayed in gold ---- thanks for the pic's Bill M. and Steve. Th4ey should make for a most realistic scene. ken

Those pictures are from Jeff Coats. He is a guide/decoy carver/photog/dog trainer on the Chesapeake in Maryland. I have hunted with Jeff for brant on the salt. Great guy with top notch dogs and equipment. http://www.pitbosswaterfowl.com I think is his web address.

Since the wild pheasant population in Maryland is about nill, we can safely assume this was a game farm operation, where hens are, in fact, legitimate targets. Best, Ted
