I was one of a group of gun writers that visited Federal several years ago. A couple of us tried to convince them that there was a market for American made, low pressure, 2 1/2" 12ga shells. Looks like they've come at least part way.

You can do some pretty neat things with Gold Medal hulls for vintage guns, including hunting loads with decent ballistics. Just last evening, I cranked out a bunch of pheasant loads for my Army & Navy--1 1/8 oz 6's, 1200 fps, 7300 psi.
