I like your first choice of chokes, but then I am 68 years old and my reflexes and mount time have slowed from my younger days. In the areas I hunt, quail fly pretty dang guick, and with my slowed reaction time and mount IC and Mod chokes are just about perfect. If you are younger and have a quick reflex time and quick mount, the sk and ic chokes could be better for that style of shooting ONLY. I tend to think the IC and Mod chokes would be a better all around choice, even with quicker reaction times on quail. I don't like to shoot birds real close anyway. Letting them fly another half second prevents blown-up meat.
