I ran accross this yesterday on gunsamerica.com. I just thought some of you guys might be interested in this gun's history, even if NOT in buying it.... http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976794898.htm

I saw it in Tulsa, Beautiful and inscribed on the bottom of the action. My M 21 is just a few numbers away and a near twin to it.Both were made about 2 months apart which caught my eye when I walked by. I thought it was near identical to mine which stopped me to look at it and hear the story from one of the gentlemen from Elmira.

Interesting that it's a double trigger, splinter (and probably extractor) configuration. I wonder why that configuration was chosen.

I can't read most of the provenance on the GA link, but "selective ejection" seems to be among the features.

Interesting that it was given to the "Yankee Clipper" by the Essex County Prosecuters office in Newark NJ.Bet they don't do that today, can just imagine a mac ten engraved for NY Yankee from the stash in the evidence room ! How times have changed for the worse in old NJ.
Neat gun and good guys selling it, Rich and Ron are a class act.

I'm just happy my image of Jumpin Joe wasn't sullied by the image of him ordering a M21. "Thanks for the gun fellas" is easier for me to imagine than Joe walking into a gun shop and saying "Gee wizz that model 21 sure is a pretty gun; I'll take one" .

Greg,
Yes, thats it... Joltin'.....thanks; I imagine a ball player known for his jumping would have eluded the eye of history.
