Cameron, for stocking a straight grip gun, and particularly a sidelock, whether hammerless or hammer, it is pretty critical that the grain through the grip and head is clear and parallel with the grip.Because the grip is so slim,and so much wood is removed in this area,any cross-grain or knots etc. is inviting a problem down the road from recoil and just general usage.


Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought stupid,than open it and confirm.
