Here's one I forgot about: In January of last year, The Butler County Sheriff Departmant's SWAT team from Butler County, Ohio was practicing a drill on a Monday afternoon in a school parking lot. After their drill, one of the officers leaned his rifle (I heard it was a full auto M-16) against his car while he loaded up his equipment. Then he drove off and left the rifle laying in the parking lot. One of the kids on the basketball team found it laying in the parking lot. Such is a typical day in the lives of our local Sheriff's Department. Passing one's literacy exam has never been one of the requirements for obtaining a badge in this neck of the woods.
