Very interesting observation 'Weston'. Yet, the Glahns were in full force at the time. It sure is apparent that many companies were willing to send/ship out guns for 'higher-grade' engraving. Lefever's seem to have lead to much of the confusion. And there is no doubt that Loy did plenty of engraving for other companies... after his move... as well as other engravers. Perhaps the world was not as 'small', at the time, as we think it was. Then we start to consider apprentices.....
