Old Joe Sidelock Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 236 northern u.s.	I really doubt it is a piece of dirt that's the problem. Taking it apart yourself without the right tools and knowhow is just asking for trouble. I agree with the others to send the gun to a gunsmith for evaluation.
