If it is the "Automatic and Independent Safety", the piece on the left side may be broken. If it is a later model(serial number?), there will a horizontal "T"(or was that for a Lewis) that slide back & for and the ear/right part of the "T" may be broken. Upon dissembly, make sure to watch for the spring & small cylinder that keeps the toplever to the right when open. Walt's book is a very good reference. I will look at a trigger plate tonight.
