When you hunt game if you are going to walk all day a 6 pound gun is really an advantage. If you are going to sit on the tailgate and shoot dove the pigeon gun is the better choice.

I also find 6-1/4 to 6-1/2 pound 12 gauges unpleasant to shoot when using 1-1/8 oz loads.
