Anyone know the weight of 30 inch 20 gauge Beretta 680 series barrels that fit on a 12 gauge frame. Thinking of a South American dove gun.

Check with Cole's. They do this all the time.

My 20 gauge skeet barrels are marked 1610 KG, weigh 3 pounds eight ounces, my 30" 20 gauge step rib trap barrels are marked 1550 KG, weigh 3 pounds 5 ounces, my 32" 12 gauge step rib trap barrels are marked 1630. My 30" 20 gauge barrels may not be typical of Beretta 30" 20 gauge barrels. I don't know why the 28" skeet barrels weigh more than the 30" barrels. I assume it may be because the four barrel skeet sets were identical weight in all sizes. All these barrel sets are for the 12 gauge 682 frame. Sorry, my rare and wonderful custom made 20 gauge trap barrels are not for sale. I understand there are some of those in Europe but I've never seen another set in the U.S. They are not aftermarket barrels. They came on my 682 X Trap that was special ordered about 1986 or 1987.

Thanks Pete. I did contact Cole's and they stated 1350 gram which would be slightly less than 3 pounds. Seems fairly light, I am wondering if these were for a 20 gauge frame rather than a 12 gauge frame?

I think you're going to have to check again to make sure they gave the weight of barrels for a 12 gauge frame. However, my 26" 20 gauge small frame barrels are marked 1040. I wouldn't take that gun to South America if someone else paid for the trip. It beats me to death. The 682 20 gauge weighs almost nine pounds and is very comfortable to shoot all day. It has a very meaty Monte Carlo stock and a hard German pad with Shoo-Goo for non stick surface. I would use at least one thickness of PAST shoulder pad and be quite confident that I wouldn't hurt myself.
