According to the tabulation in Semmers book a gun in the 126xxx range would be in the latter half of 1902.

Here's mine:

1906 Model 1900 KE grade has XKEY. (16 ga.)

1899 Model 1894 A grade has PA$. (12 ga.)

I did not see the "$" symbol in Semmer's book. Anyone have any info?

Tony

If you look at these pics of my 1894 A grade made in 1903 and the two that will follow you will see a JP (combined as one letter)on each barrel just in the front of the lower level small flats that also have what looks like a + and a - and small initials capital W.H. LA is on each barrel but no slash marks.

There is also a 6 with a small 12 postscript on the right barrel next to the hook. This is close to the weight of this 12g. gun.

Also there is a 3 and a 1 on the left side of the bottom of the lump and on the right side is a number that has an "X" through it followed by a half an "X" which is probably just struck half off the flat of the lump.

Boy, this is getting interesting. I wish I knew what some of these mean.

Thanks builder. We're still working on the fused 'JP', which has also been found on an 1894 Pigeon gun with Etoile damascus. 'JP' was used by Jacques Pirotte & Fils., but Littlegun has them in business only 1910-1962. A likely suspect is Jules Pire & Cie, established in 1885
